Connect Stripe before relying on card payments
Stripe card payments require the organiser to complete Stripe Connect setup. Check your Stripe status before telling winners that card payments will be available.
If setup is incomplete, prepare an alternative payment instruction such as bank transfer or cash collection so winners still know what to do.
How card payment links fit into collection
When card payments are available, winning bidders can use payment links to pay by card. Continue to use Collect Payments to track payment status, collection, delivery, and follow-up.
Card links are part of the winner close-out process, not a replacement for clear organiser instructions. Winners still need to know when and how they will receive or collect items.
If a bidder pays another way
Some organisations also accept bank transfer, cash, or another external method. Mark those payments manually so your winner list remains accurate.
Use consistent references or notes when you reconcile external payments with card payments.
Refunds and disputes
Card refunds and disputes depend on Stripe processes and your organisation’s policies. Keep records of bidder communication and update Aucly statuses so the organising team can see what happened.
