Information We Collect

When you use Google Sign-In, we collect:

  • Your name and email address from your Google account
  • Basic profile information (if publicly available)

How We Use Your Information

We use your Google account information to:

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Allow you to participate in fundraising auctions
  • Send you notifications about your auction activity
  • Provide customer support

Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared with:

  • Auction organisers (only your name and email for winning bids)
  • Other participants (only your name in bidding history)

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Update or correct your information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand how people use Aucly so that we can improve it. Aggregate reports may include:

  • The pages viewed and when they were viewed
  • The site or search engine that referred you to Aucly
  • General information about your browser and device
  • An approximate country derived from your network

We use this information only to measure and improve Aucly (for example, to see which pages are helpful and which are not). We do not use analytics to profile you, to serve advertising, to make decisions about you, or to track you across other websites. We do not sell this information or share it with anyone other than our analytics processor, Cloudflare, which hosts our analytics service.

This processing is carried out for statistical purposes. You can object to it at any time, without giving a reason: visit Analytics settings and turn analytics off. This works whether or not you have an account, and we will stop recording analytics for your browser. You can turn analytics back on there at any time.

Signed-in activity records

When you are signed in, we keep a record of activity in your Aucly account so that organisers can be supported and problems can be investigated. This record can include signing in and out, the pages you view, creating or editing an auction or an item, placing a bid, changing settings, and payment-related steps, together with the time, the account and the relevant auction or item. We record which fields changed and safe technical details such as the type of action and its outcome; we do not record the contents of descriptions or messages, payment card details, or the values you enter in forms.

These records are visible only to Aucly administrators. When an administrator prepares a report for an auction organiser or for analysis, account and session references are replaced with anonymous labels such as U1 and S1 unless the administrator deliberately chooses to include titles. Records are kept for 90 days and then deleted on a rolling basis.

This record is separate from the aggregate analytics described above and from your public bidding history. Turning analytics off in Analytics settings stops the aggregate analytics for your browser; it does not stop the activity records for your signed-in account.

Google OAuth Data Usage

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
