How bidding works in Aucly

Most bidders reach an Aucly auction through a link from the organiser. The link opens the auction page, where you can browse the available items and see when bidding opens or closes.

Choose the guide that matches what you need to do:

  1. Create account explains registration, signing back in and email verification when needed.
  2. Place a bid covers item details, bid amounts and confirmation.
  3. Proxy bidding explains maximum bids and Aucly's automatic bid increments.
  4. My bids shows where to check whether you are winning or have been outbid.
  5. Paying for items covers payment requests and the organiser's collection or delivery instructions.

A confirmed bid is a commitment to pay if you win. Aucly records the bid against your account and shows its current state in My Bids.

Check the item before entering an amount

The item description may include an expiry date, age limit, booking condition, location restriction or collection requirement. Check those details as well as the amount before confirming the bid.

If an item condition is unclear, ask the organiser before bidding. The organiser, rather than Aucly, is responsible for the prize and its collection or delivery.
